Ted would have done what?<br /><br />Here are my questions: Why did the Bush Justice Dept. pursue this case (and then blow it) for a senator like Stevens, who they would normally venerate and protect? Also, why were Stevens and Allen seemingly such close buddies (even going to the desert together to commune, sweat, and exercise) and yet Stevens was blissfully unaware of Allen's unsavory reputation? Bill Allen cut a huge swath--babes, Corvette, $, drugs). He wanted you to notice. Stevens let Allen basically crash at his "chalet" in Girdwood, where he undoubtedly "partied."
