Here's a Link to the Podcast of My Polaris Lecture on Alaska Public Corruption, Plus a Bleg

Anchorage--

You can listen for free to a recording of the Polaris Lecture that I gave last month at the University of Alaska Anchorage on Alaska public corruption. Here's the link:

Theresa Philbrick and I have tried to post on this blog my PowerPoint presentation, but we have been unable to do so. Tips are welcome....

As far as I know, you can't embed Powerpoint files in a Blogger blog, though you would be able to convert the slides out as JPEGs and embed those. If you want a full Powerpoint presentation, however, you need a website where other kinds of files can be uploaded. I do it a lot for work (UAA Justice Center) -- though usually I "print" the Powerpoints as PDF files and upload those instead, since not everyone has Powerpoint but most people can get Adobe's free PDF reader.

Glad the podcast is up! -- I'll listen when I get a chance.

Good morning to Freeper and Mel. Thank you for the suggestions. Mel, you are right, PPT accessibility/capability is not as common as PDF. This reminds me that even though computer use is ubiquitous, user skills/program versions are definitely varied. Presenting information at a practical level that reaches the widest audience is the way to go.
